1989 Army-Navy Game: The Winning Kick

Often times youngins like myself don't remember games from our early years. Thank God for ESPN Classic, which just finished showing the 1989 Army-Navy game this afternoon. Was this necessarily a smart time of year to take an afternoon off from papers and studying? No, but for a finish like this it was worth it.

Thanks, Adam! Good to see that moment again. Even got a glimpse of myself with hair!! Only downside is that I had to see and hear Elliot Uzelac--"disappointing season." Well, "Lose-a-lot," I remember BEATING ARMY. That's the memory I have from my senior season.

Wow...D&B used to play NB&G in a higher key. This ol' tenor likes that!

This game means so much to all of us on both sides of the field. To see Army go out there again and run that last play, with that kind of score and 0:01 left on the clock says it all. I know any team anywhere would do the same thing, but it means so much more watching the kaydets out there.

Go Navy AND Army, and thank God for the service of all of these brave men.
