It wasn't always pretty, but the Navy Defense came up with the stops when it had to in last night's 28-23 win over the East Carolina Pirates. Holding the Pirates high powered passing offense to just twenty three points was no small task, especially after two Navy turnovers in the third quarter looked to give Skip Holtz's offense a spark. Yet after a day of timely and physical defense, I guess it was no surprise when, in spite of Navy's offensive miscues, the defense held out in the second half to deliver the win. Continue Reading
