Because Army-Navy is better than Michigan-Ohio State, the Triple Option always trumps the Run and Shoot, and college football is most nearly itself when it's played by actual student athletes.

He simply blocked him to the ground.
Second guessing with hindsight, what's tough is the next call. The strongside misdirection to the weakside worked several times in the 2nd half and kept the ball away from the pursuit. From the comfort of my easy chair, that's what I was calling on third down.
But no one is paying me $1.5M to coach and rightly so.
That loss builds up more tension for underclassmen than disappointment. I bet they focus that energy well in the offseason and come out hitting in 2007.

I agree, next year's team will be dialed in to when they play Rutgers in Week Two.
